The view was worth the hour drive! Drove all the way to the top, so we didn’t hike at all. Be sure to bring a jacket to keep you warm because it does get windy up there
I love when the Balsam and Lupine flowers are in bloom on the Rowena crest. It is especially stunning during the golden hour. Not only do you get beautiful fields of flowers, but also an incredible view of the Columbia River Gorge. I like to get to Rowena Crest via the Moiser exit off of I 84 east.
Been coming back to this spot for years. Best driving road in all of the west coast to get here, highway 30. There's just something about the gorge, and this is one if the best places to view its beauty.
Wnt there to watch the sunrise and it was beautiful. Would recommend going there an hour in advance to wall up the trail to the viewpoint. However Ok to stop halfway the views are still great.
The colors of the leaves changing made the drive so pretty it felt like driving through a scene in Snow White! Lots of space to park when we came up and we were so excited to see the 360° views!
Amazing views from this spot! You can see Mt Adams and Mt Hood at the summit! Not to mention a breath taking view of the Columbia river gorge. Decent incline about 1500 feet. We saw deer and a few Rattlesnakes.
I went for the first time recently to shoot a bridal session & was blown away by its beauty! The wind gave us such a vibe during their session & I wasn’t mad about it at all! It’s a large enough area where lots of people can be taking photos without necessarily getting in the way of anyone else which is very nice. Highly recommend!
Breathtaking view, and a thrilling drive! Lovely place to cruise with the windows down and the viewpoint is a gorgeous spot to relax
We’ll worth the drive! Fun hike with gorgeous views. Yes, I did that intentionally and I should feel bad…. But I don’t. Anyway, it’s a nice mile hike or but you can get that rad shot of the bendy road just off the loop right outside your car practically. You don’t need fancy footwear or anything.
This place is an absolute gem with a fantastic view! The drive to get there is truly awesome, making it a cool spot to capture some wonderful photographs. Moreover, there's plenty of free parking available, and when I visited, it wasn't crowded at all. It's definitely a must-visit location along the way.
